Please label ALL your child's belongings.

Please be sure to choose a STANDARD SIZE BACKPACK for your child. It will need to accommodate a set of emergency clothing as well as important papers and projects that will be sent home.

Monthly calendars can be found posted on our classroom door and here on the classroom webpage.
Calendars will include monthly birthday snacks (snack for the class will be provided by that student), holiday celebrations (donations will be requested) and student Bring and Brag days. (We encourage friends to bring in an item that may pertain to our current lesson or letter of the week if possible.)
Otherwise, your child will bring in one labeled snack daily . When choosing a snack please remember, The Schoolhouse is a peanut and tree nut free school. Please place this snack in the front compartment of your child's backpack for easy access. We will be providing the napkins and water.

Weekly Highlights

This was a week of firsts.

We introduced our listening center which is a hooked on phonics CD. It allows us to see and hear the letter, the sound it makes and a word that starts with that letter.

We also introduced our first letter of the alphabet, Ll.

Leaves were the focus of our fall lesson this week.

Next Week-  No School Monday, 10/11, Assessments. Scarecrows, Shape and Color Review
