The Schoolhouse Nursery School and Kindergarten

Old school learning, new school feel!

Mrs. Corris and Mrs. Patrizi 4 year old PM

Happy Spring!

April went by quickly. We learned about Earth Day and even investigated living earth worms. We also learned about seeds and the parts of a plant.

Much of the month was spent preparing for our upcoming Mother's Day play, Are You My Mother? We made our costumes and learned our lines as well as a couple special Mother's Day songs.

Here comes May and June! It's so hard to believe we will be winding down the school year. We will complete the remaining letters of the alphabet and numbers 8-10. We will move on from practicing and performing our play to practicing for graduation.

Our topics for the remainder of the school year will include a continuation on plant life, the butterfly life cycle, pond life and insects.

Handwriting Without Tears (HWT):

This month we will continue to work on the following diagonal line letters; X, Y and Z.

We will practice writing our names using lowercase letters for the remainder of the year and we will continue listening to letter sounds using the Hooked on Phonics CD.

Count on Math: Numbers 8-10 and Shape review
